especially和specially这两个词的用法只有毫发之差。
想要区别它们真的出容易。
但我觉得《韦氏词典》上的解释很简单易懂，所以推荐给大家：
1.表示“非常，very”或“极其，extremely”，用especially：
Driedfruitsareespeciallyhighinfibre.
干果的纤维含量特别高。
Thewinterofwasespeciallycold.
年的冬天特别冷。
Theprogrammeappealsespeciallytoyoungchildren.
这个节目对幼儿特别有吸引力。
2.表示“特别particularly”，某人某物与其他相比很“特别，突出”，用especially：
IloveItaly,especiallyinsummer.
我爱意大利，尤其是夏天（的意大利）。
Acarisnecessary,especiallyifyouhavechildren.
有车是必要的，特别是如果你有孩子的话。
Divorceisverypainful,especiallywhenchildrenareconcerned.
离婚是很痛苦的，尤其是牵涉到孩子们时。
Thechildrenreallylikedthemuseum,speciallythedinosaurs.
孩子们非常喜欢博物馆，特别是恐龙馆。
（这个句子从严格意义上来说，是不规范的，最好用especially）
没有比较的可以用specially：
Heisnotspeciallyclever,butheworkshard.
他不是特别聪明，但他工作努力。

注意：这种情况下，especially更正式，而specially更口头化。
4.表达“inaspecialmanner，以一种特殊的方式”，用specially：
Ifyouwantedtobuyanordinarybulb,youhadtoaskforitspecially.
如果你想买一个普通灯泡，你必须特别提出要求。
Specially-traineddogscansmelloutdrugs.
受过专门训练的狗能嗅出毒品。
